Babatunde Kazeem Safiu, Esq. is a dedicated legal practitioner and public service leader with over a decade of experience in the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.
He currently serves as the Assistant Director, State Counsel and Head of Legal Services at the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA), where he combines expertise in civil litigation, advisory services, and disability law to drive inclusion, protect rights, and implement strategic initiatives for persons with disabilities.
A skilled negotiator and advocate, he has a strong track record in stakeholder engagement, policy implementation, and non-profit management.

Babatunde Kazeem Safiu joined the Lagos State Government in 2012 as a State Counsel in the Ministry of Justice and rose to the position of Assistant Director, State Counsel. His career spans key directorates, including Advisory Services, Judiciary Liaison, and Civil Litigation.
On September 16, 2015, he was deployed to LASODA as Head of Legal Services. In this role, he:
- Provides well-researched legal opinions and professional advice on diverse issues.
- Coordinates and oversees all legal matters, including litigation, contracts, compliance, and statutory obligations.
- Leads initiatives that advance the rights, inclusion, and welfare of persons with disabilities in Lagos State.
